Bombay Dreams, Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest venture, brings together a host of creative talent for this musical collabration.
Drawing its inspiration from India's colourful, magical and hugely prolific film industry, the Bombay-set tale is essentially a love story. But while romantic fantasy lives on in Bollywood, outside the studios lie the harsh realities of the city.
Composer A R Rahman adds to his long list of credentials, which includes over 50 Bollywood movies (with his soundtrack for the film Bombay selling over 50 million copies) whilst novelist and comedienne Meera Syal (Anita And Me, Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee, BBC2's Goodness Gracious Me) provides the book.
